Miro Sidekicks bring AI into the canvas where teams already work. Each Sidekick reads the board, understands the artefacts in front of it, and responds with context-aware outputs, from next steps to draft documents and diagrams. Sidekicks are currently documented as a Beta capability. Miro+1
What is Miro Sidekicks
Sidekicks are configurable AI helpers that live inside Miro. They analyse board content, then offer expert insights, validation, summaries, and actions in real time. You can start from built-in Sidekicks or create your own with tailored instructions and conversation starters.
How Sidekicks work
Sidekicks run inside Miro’s AI Mode and open from the Create with AI button on the canvas. You pick or create a Sidekick, give it a goal, and it uses what is on the board as context. You can also attach knowledge sources and pick which AI model to use for its reasoning and generation.
Key capabilities
Board-aware assistance: Uses the live canvas as input, so answers reflect the sticky notes, Docs, Tables, Timelines, Diagrams and Slides in view.
Bring your own models: Select the model per Sidekick, including separate choices for text, image and doc generation where available.
Enterprise knowledge: Connect assistants such as Microsoft Copilot, Gemini Enterprise, Glean and Amazon Q so Sidekicks can work with company context.
Why it matters
