From New York to North America
Last week, Generation Digital proudly sponsored Asana’s Work Innovation Summit (WIS) North America in New York. The event brought together leaders who explored how AI, governance, and work management platforms are reshaping the future of work.
We were there to demonstrate what “useful AI” looks like in real-world applications. For us, it signifies measurable improvement, secure automation, and human-centred systems that empower teams to achieve better outcomes.
Our focus now spans Canada, where we're enhancing our presence under the guidance of James Tyer, our new Head of North America.
Helping Canadian organizations adopt AI safely, securely, and at scale
Across Canada, enterprise leaders are accelerating AI adoption with safety and intent. Our role is to make that achievable.
We assist Canadian organizations in aligning AI usage with local legislation, governance frameworks, and enterprise standards. Whether automating reports in Asana, integrating AI insights into Notion, or enabling secure collaboration through Miro, our efforts ensure clarity, compliance, and control from the outset.
Our Pathway to AI Success service offers every client a blueprint and roadmap for AI implementation. It’s a structured approach that identifies where AI provides real value, builds confidence in data management and permissions, and ensures accountability for every automation.
This is how we make AI both useful and safe, transforming good intentions into tangible outcomes.
Trusted by leading North American organizations
We partner with a growing network of organizations across Canada and the United States, helping them infuse clarity, security, and intelligence into their day-to-day operations.
Our collaborations cover various sectors, including retail, healthcare, financial services, media, security, and automotive. We collaborate with recognized brands such as Metro, GardaWorld, Crisis24, Nesto, CA Auto, and others under confidentiality agreements.
Each partnership focuses on transforming complex operations into structured, outcome-centric systems using tools like Asana, Miro, and Notion to unify strategy, governance, and execution.
Our work with these teams illustrates how responsible AI and modern work platforms can enhance efficiency measurably while upholding data protection and compliance.
Canada expansion and new leadership
To bolster our North American capabilities, James Tyer has joined Generation Digital as Head of North America. A former Microsoft leader, James brings extensive experience with Microsoft's product range, including Copilot, and enterprise collaboration within Canada.

James Tyer joins Generation Digital to lead North America.
“WIS North America highlighted the transition from AI trials to accountable implementation,” said Graham Mackay, Chief Executive Officer at Generation Digital. “James strengthens our ability to help Canadian organizations embrace practical AI and modern work systems confidently.”
“Canada has a dynamic enterprise ecosystem that values AI as being useful, secure, and measurable,” said James Tyer, Head of North America. “Having spent four years at Microsoft, including collaborating with the Copilot team, I understand what is effective in enterprise settings. At Generation Digital, my mission is to assist Canadian organizations in achieving real results with top-tier workplace AI tools from Asana, Notion, and Miro.”
The Pathway to AI Success
Our Pathway to AI Success guides organizations from AI concepts to quantifiable results with structure, governance, and assurance. It’s a pragmatic five-stage framework—Blueprint, Onboarding, Adoption, Growth, and Support—centered around Asana, Miro, Notion, and Glean. Each phase ensures AI deployment is safe, aligned with Canadian data protection and AI laws, and integrated into existing workflows. From identifying opportunities and setting governance standards to embedding automation and ensuring compliance, the pathway offers leaders a clear, responsible path to scaling AI confidently.
