Knowledge Library, a new feature from Workplace from Facebook, provides a simple way to create, store and access key company resources on Workplace. Think of it like a modern version of an intranet or a digital workplace but much more accessible and so your employees will find it easier to use.

Knowledge Library is a new way to centralise key company resources, especially static content like an employee handbook, benefits information, and travel policies. Think of it like a modern version of an intranet or a digital workplace. It’s fully integrated with the rest of Workplace, so people can search for or share vital information without having to switch apps. It contains simple, familiar tools for admins to create content, attach files, share links, and customise what people see on desktop and mobile.

How Does it Work?

Knowledge Library is found in the Explore Menu right under News Feed. Any admin with permission to manage Knowledge Library will be able to create and edit content from an easy to use editor. System Admins can give anyone Knowledge Library edit permissions through the Admin Panel. Once content is published, Knowledge Library will be visible to all employees who have access.

Everyone in your community will see a personalised Knowledge Library home based on what they have access to. Here admins can also highlight priority information and key links. Knowledge Library sits alongside Groups and Chat and is mobile-friendly too. So any employee, whether they sit behind a desk or work on the frontline, can access your Health & Safety guidelines, benefits information or relevant policies right from Workplace.
